The Plant Medicine Series

In our Plant Medicine Series classes we follow each plant on a journey to understand its roles in human health and to discover profound healing plant relationships. These classes introduce herbs using an in-depth bioregional experiential method that includes:

  • Botany and Ecology: methods for identifying the plants and finding them in their habitat

  • Materia Medica: detail on contemporary and historical medicinal uses

  • Organoleptic tastings: exploration of plant energetics and uses through direct experience

  • Medicine making: techniques for making effective medicines that honor the plants

Unless noted, Plant Medicine Series classes are designed for herbal medicine students of all levels.

One Day Intensives

Spend the day learning a special topic with one of our skilled instructors.

In July, learn how to make an herbal first aid kit and be prepared to use it to mend cuts and scrapes, bumps and bruises, sprains and strains, headaches, nausea, diarrhea, and menstrual cramps.

We're so pleased to have Brunem from Well Deep Remedies join us to teach this class again. Brunem is a clinical herbalist and street medic who has been teaching herbal first aid classes for the past decade. This class has been a favorite of our students for many years, and we are happy to be able to offer it online to reach more folks!
