Low Dose Medicinals

Are they poisons or are they medicines? In some cases it depends on the dose! In this special class we will discuss some of the herbs that can be dangerous to work with… a great spooky topic as we approach Halloween, Samhain and Dia de los Muertos, because we don’t want to turn ourselves into ghosts prematurely from a lack of understanding of these incredibly potent plants. We’ll discuss plants that have a tradition of medicinal use while being extremely toxic. Monkshood Aconite, true Arnica, Anemone-Pulsatilla, Veratrum, Poke root, Cow Parsnip, Silk Tassel and other fascinating and potentially dangerous plants will be discussed (for learning purposes).
