Angels Rest - Columbia Gorge
This fantastic hike is about more than vistas and waterfalls. We will explore the trees, understory, and other important medicinal plants native to the Columbia Gorge, including rare endemics. We will be able to examine and study the way fire-adapted plant communities recover and thrive as we work our way up through the many habitats of different elevations. (Moderate hiking with 1500 feet of elevation gain.)
Our full-day medicinal plant hikes for small groups include detailed attention to plant identification, ecological awareness, discussion of harvesting techniques and considerations, medicinal uses both traditional and modern, and medicine making.
