Lacamas Lake

On the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge, this wonderfully diverse 300+ acre park includes forests of conifers, maples and oak, breathtaking camas beds that indicate the importance to indigenous peoples, and surprising waterfalls. It has a wild feel with many flowers to identify and many of the medicinal plants typical of Pacific Northwest forests - with a Washington State flavor! It may become your new favorite place.

Hiking difficulty: A couple miles of very easy hiking on excellent trails.

This is a full day of plant medicine exploration. Study in the field includes botanical identification, ecological awareness, discussion of harvesting techniques and considerations, medicinal uses both traditional and modern, and medicine making. Tincture tasting may be included, with the opportunity to purchase plant medicines if desired. We will take a mid-day lunch break.
