Good for kids: Yes! Children 12 and under are free and welcome. Please register teens. Young kids should be old enough to walk in the woods for a little while, or young enough to be carried if they get tired.
We return to Powell Butte for late Spring wildflowers… Learn to about dozens of local plants in a surprisingly wild landscape of maturing forests and prairieland, and how they can play a role in human health and healing.
We will discuss plant identification, ecology, harvesting, medicinal uses and medicine making for many of the trees, herbs, and flowers in this wonderful East side gem.

When you purchase the class you will be emailed a link to download a PDF file containing details about the class location and other necessary instructions. This link will be active for 30 days. If the link expires you may email us for a new link. However, as we prefer to spend our time in the woods rather than on the computer, we recommend downloading the file immediately.
Full refund for tuition (minus $15 admin fee) up to 1 week before the day of the hike. Less than 7 days before the day of the hike 50% of tuition can be refunded. No refunds are possible less than 24 hours before the start of the hike or after the hike has begun.
