Powell Butte Plant Medicine Hike
Join a small group for a half-day plant walk at Powell Butte. Learn dozens of local plants and how they can play a role in human health and healing! We will discuss plant identification, ecology, harvesting, medicinal uses and medicine making for many of the trees and understory plants in this wonderful East side gem.
Easy hiking and well-maintained trails. Both shade and full sun portions of hike.
To bring: note taking materials if desired, sufficient water and snacks for 4 hours. Appropriate gear for sun and heat (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc…)
For these hikes, masks are required. The wide trails and moderately low traffic early in the day make social distance feasible for a small group, but masks will be essential.
